Mikoshiba and Mayu have ended up as the fourth pair in the manga. Their relationship is developing like the others, and with Mayu deciding to declare he's Mikoshiba's boyfriend at one point. The pure hearted maiden who tries to be a tough guy! The incredibly lazy guy who's only active when doing judo! It's a perfect match.
I'd prefer a post high school for both of them setting, because they're too young for marriage in a mundane setting otherwise.

Ah, rivals with occasional grudging respect for each other. I love the constant bickering, baiting each other, and how they both wind each other up but are also much more similar to each other than they'd willingly admit. Both of them have their softer sides they don't like to admit to, as well. So most of my freeforms can be summed up as 'baiting someone into marrying you or doing it for some other purpose, but whoops, feelings'.
The mixture of comedy and heartfelt moments, and how it's so character-driven, is one of my favourite things about Gintama, so feel free to lean into that!

I love their relationship. I love how close they are, how constantly Kakashi takes the piss and Tenzo respects him so deeply him anyway. How much they trust each other. They have a very good understanding of each other, especially in battle and on missions. I like how they’re both stoic, and shouldering large burdens, both in their pasts and by being able to use powers that aren't really theirs. However their attitudes towards their pasts and general demeanour are quite different, which is part of what I love about it.
I've leaned towards a lot of 'forced to get together but now it's suddenly getting real' freeforms with this pairing. They both strike me as people who'd need an external push to get to the point of marrying someone.
For the arranged marriage/marriage contest freeforms, I thought of these in a post-canon context. Maybe there's an expectation that the Hokage should get married, and while Tsunade was old enough to get out of it, Kakashi is most definitely not.

Both 'No Touching at All' and 'Even So, I will Love you Tenderly' are single volumes, published in English by Digital Manga Publishing and are available on Kindle (region dependent).
I love this manga and its sequel. It is like a roller-coaster of emotion for me, and even though I've read it enough times to know where it's going, it still gets me every time. The angst, the communication problems, Shima's refusal to admit to anything as a form of self-protection that Togawa repeatedly smashes through.
I really like this pairing in canon. What I'd like is more! The odd couple dynamics, the contrast between their approaches to life. How they do love each other, despite the understandable misunderstandings that punctured the start of their relationship. I'd like to see them taking that next step towards marriage, which might be wobbly with how they can still have trouble communicating sometimes. I'm a sucker for a happy ending for these two, even if it takes some work to get there.

I love this manga and its sequel. It is like a roller-coaster of emotion for me, and even though I've read it enough times to know where it's going, it still gets me every time. The angst, the communication problems, Shima's refusal to admit to anything as a form of self-protection that Togawa repeatedly smashes through.
Pairing: Shima Toshiaki/Togawa Yousuke
I really like this pairing in canon. What I'd like is more! The odd couple dynamics, the contrast between their approaches to life. How they do love each other, despite the understandable misunderstandings that punctured the start of their relationship. I'd like to see them taking that next step towards marriage, which might be wobbly with how they can still have trouble communicating sometimes. I'm a sucker for a happy ending for these two, even if it takes some work to get there.
