I'm requesting all fic for this exchange. I've listed all the freeforms I've requested for ease of reference, because AO3 can be awkward to read, and provided further detail on some of them, which you can use as you wish. Fandom: Blue Flag

Note: I like the female characters in this series a lot, so please don't use them as villains. Particularly Futuba! You can however break her and Taichi up earlier than in canon.

Pairing: Ichinose Taichi/Mita Touma (Touma pining) (both pining)

eventually requited, never requited

I love how this pairing develops over the series, and how Taichi doesn't dismiss Touma's feelings immediately when he confesses. And Touma pining over Taichi is canon, so expanding on Touma's pining during canon would be great. I would also like future fic where the pining finally gets to go somewhere after Taichi and Futuba break up. Did Taichi think he didn't stand a chance, that it was too late? Or a canon divergence AU, at any point n the manga.

I would like some angst (especially if it's set before the time-skip) but I'd really like a happy ending for this pairing if it's set after high school.

Freeforms:

Character A pines while pressed up against B in a crowded situation (I love that scene with Taichi holding onto Touma on the train a lot. Expansion on that? History repeating itself? Another similar situation? Yes please!)
B is oblivious to A's pining and A wants to keep it that way
Character A distances themself from Character B to try and get over them
Character A Is Cursed To Eternally Pine For Character B (This could be a real curse, or just a misunderstanding.)
Character A pines for B who has fallen asleep on A's shoulder
Character A pines for Character B who pines for someone else
Character A tries to convince themself that a platonic relationship is enough
Character expects to be hurt because their pining was revealed
Character silently pines for someone due to fear of ruining their existing relationship (Taichi after the break up with Futuba as well as the other way around would be good.)
Conversations with double meanings
Guilt over enjoying friendly hugs/physical closeness too much
Long Distance Pining
Mixed Signals Confuses Characters On Whether Feelings Are Requited (Oh, yeah. Taichi confusing Touma after he's single again with his mixed signals? I can see it.)
Pining A thinks about B while having sex with others (A is Touma, possibly during the time-skip, or even before.)
Pining A thinks about B while masturbating
A pining because they mistakenly think B is uninterested
Pining while sharing a bed
B vanishes from existence and only A remembers them. (I would love this either way around for them.)
Realisation that A is available triggers realisation of feelings
Trapped in Fake Perfect World that includes relationship with object of pining

Fandom: Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun

Note: I'm happy with fic based on the anime exclusively. Any point in the manga canon is okay until the end of Vol. 11, so nothing after chapter 108. I'm fine with any canon crushes being mentioned, but I'd rather they weren't the main focus of the fic. Aging up characters in this canon is fine with me.

Pairing: Nozaki Umetarou/Ken Miyamae (Nozaki pining)

eventually requited, never requited

Oh, Nozaki's feelings towards Ken. He gushes about him all the time! Ken is amazing! He's the best guy ever. He's just so interesting, and brilliant, and Nozaki wants to impress him and keep him around forever. Nozaki saves all his texts even when they're just one word replies. It's completely understandable after having the horror show of Maeno as his editor and Maeno being replaced by a decent human being like Ken, but it's still a lot. The pining for a closer (most likely platonic) relationship is strongly there in canon.

So what if that ends up developing into a more romantic interest? Or it's already there and Nozaki is oblivious because, well, it's Nozaki. He's oblivious to love. What triggers him realising it's more? The threat of a new editor? Ken accidentally revealing more details about his personal life? Ken being keen to see him (maybe to fix something that's wrong with his latest drafts that he should have caught before and he needs to do it ASAP before anyone realises)?

This could be comic, but a serious take could be really interesting too. Nozaki comes across as never having had a serious romantic interest in anyone, despite writing a shoujo manga. It could really throw him for a loop, and angst about it would be right up my street.

I'm open to if the pining ends up requited or not.

Freeforms:

Character A has never been in love before and so doesn't immediately recognize the feeling
Character A pines while pressed up against B in a crowded situation (Particularly on a crowded train, but any other crowded public situation would be really nice. For the angst and conflicted emotions.)
Character A suddenly realizes that they've been pining for B and didn't know it
Character B knows A is pining but pretends to be oblivious
Character expects to be hurt because their pining was revealed
Character silently pines for someone due to fear of ruining their existing relationship
Character(s) cannot find adequate words to express love
Desperately Wants to Be Considered a Friend by Their Crush
Everything reminds Character A of Character B
Hoping Crush Will Notice Them
Love spell/potion prompts feelings reveal (It could be real, could be fake but does what's needed anyway.)
A makes creative works inspired by their pining for B and B doesn't notice
A makes creative works inspired by their pining for B and B notices
B vanishes from existence and only A remembers them (Even with his pining, Nozaki would still realise that this would make Maeno his editor again and fight through space and time to find this legendary editor who will save him from that, as well as his feelings towards Ken.)
A only realizes feelings for B when B starts dating someone else (I'd prefer this to be an OC, not another member of the cast and definitely not Maeno.)
Pining character doesn't act because they are indebted to the object of their pining
A thinks B is out of their league (Ken seems well-adjusted and sensible, and is also a lot older, so I don't think this is an unreasonable assumption at all.)
Texting
Tries to Confess but Isn't Believed
Trying to Ignore Feelings While Forced to Work in Close Quarters With Person of Their Affection
Pining because character believes age gap is too big

Pairing: Nozaki Umetarou/Wakamatsu Hirotaka (both pining) (Wakamatsu pining)

eventually requited, never requited

Wakamatsu really admires Nozaki as his senpai. He was so cool when he played basketball! He doesn't really get why Nozaki gave it up to write manga, but he'll support him in it (by being manipulated into being his assistant). So I like this pairing from its hero worship angle, and the pining that comes with that. Maybe he's been pining for him since they played together. Or maybe Wakamatsu didn't start pining until he got close to Nozaki via the manga. Let's fall in love..

Both of them are incredibly oblivious, so they could be denying anything's up for a long time. I feel like Wakamatsu's pining could be made worse by Nozaki getting him to do romantic stuff, possibly with him, purely for manga research.

For this pairing, either a comic tone or a more serious one would work for me. As for the ending, it can be ambiguous to match the tone of the canon. I'm open to if it ends up requited or not.

Freeforms:

Character A has never been in love before and so doesn't immediately recognize the feeling
Character A knows Character B was hurt in the past ('Knows' is not fully accurate, I'm more considering 'thinks he knows' as a typical romcom misunderstanding. Maybe Wakamatsu mistakenly thinks Maeno was a past lover instead of a past editor?)
Character A pines while pressed up against B in a crowded situation (Particularly on a crowded train, but any other crowded public situation would be really nice. For the angst and conflicted emotions. Also Nozaki asking afterwards if it was like in a manga.)
Character A suddenly realizes that they've been pining for B and didn't know it
Character A tries to convince themself that a platonic relationship is enough
Character apologizes for pining
Character runs away because it's too painful to stay near object of affections (Nozaki chases him down because he can't afford to lose an assistant? Or is it more than that?)
Character runs into someone who reveals past traumatic/shameful event to the one they're pining for (I imagine this being Seo, both in revealing it and causing the traumatic event in the first place.)
Character's hero-worship turns to pining
Fake Dating - mutual pining/Fake Dating - one-sided pining (Fake dating for manga research purposes, naturally!)
The feelings are actually reciprocated but other character(s) is/are in denial of loving them
A keeps an item of B's clothing
Mixed Signals Confuses Characters On Whether Feelings Are Requited (They're on a date! It's for research purposes. Nozaki is being romantic! Because he needs to work out how to plan this scene out, etc.)
A pining because they think B is pining for someone else (Chiyo, Ken, Seo, anyone. Heck, even Maeno if Wakamatsu really got the wrong end of the stick there. Same for the other way around.)
Pining character has to sit on their crush's lap
Pining character has to sit on their crush's lap
Pining character's feelings are discovered by a third party (A sympathetic party like Chiyo? A less sympathetic party like Seo? A highly embarrassed party like Mikoshiba? A 'can we please do our work instead' party like Hori?)
Pining for the first time and it’s a revelation
Tries to Confess but Keeps Getting Interrupted by Circumstances

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Pairing: America/England (England pining)

eventually requited, never requited

I like this relationship being really, ridiculously complicated, and also both sides being jerks. One of my favourite things about Hetalia is that all of the characters are jerks (minus possibly Liechtenstein?) so please. Let them both be jerks. England isn't the type to let the past be the past and will continuously bring it back up, and also sabotage his own relationships because he must be right all the time. He's over it! Completely over the whole break-up. (America actually is. England is not.)

I would love something set before WWII. Especially the Victorian period where England is starting to realise that yup, America's his own country now and he's just going to have to deal with it. However after that also works for me, I really enjoy historical settings for Hetalia fic.
No human AUs, they don't have that same complicated prior history. There is no requirement for a happy ending with this pairing, and even if America does return England's feelings, I can still see it going wrong.

Freeforms:

A pining for B sleeps with people who look like B
A attributes B's flirting to cultural differences
Character A Admits Feelings Only To Be Rejected
Character A Is Cursed To Eternally Pine For Character B (England already has cursed eyebrows, this isn't that big a step up from that.)
Character A tries to show how they feel but ends up pining when B doesn't get it
Character A would rather die than admit to having feelings for Character B
Character B figures out that Character A has been pining for them for years
Character keeps picking fights with object of their pining
Character(s) cannot express their feelings due to magic and/or curse
Cooking as an expression of affection (Terrible cooking, mind, which might not work as intended.)
The feelings are actually reciprocated but other character(s) is/are in denial of loving them
mistaking pining for hatred
hiding pining by antagonistic behavior
A pines while loaning B their coat
pining for someone after bad personal history between them
Pining Impacts Character's Ability to Perform Magic
Pining while stranded in the wilderness
Sex Pollen - object of pining rejects pining character after the effects of pollen have worn off (Dubcon okay for this freeform)
Trapped in Fake Perfect World that includes relationship with object of pining
Character A is too proud to recognise they're pining for B
B vanishes from existence and only A remembers them.

Fandom: Naruto

Note: I've only watched some of the anime (including the Kakashi ANBU arc so do use that), so anime-only references will likely be lost on me! The danger of being a ninja is an important part of the appeal of these pairings to me, so embrace that as you want to. Near-death experiences are fine for this fandom, and I'm also happy for Kakashi's temporary death in the Pain arc to be used if you want to.

Pairing: Hatake Kakashi/Namikaze Minato (Kakashi pining)

never requited

I love this, but exclusively as one-sided pining on Kakashi's part. That big first crush on the person who's been there for him most consistently since his father died and who is amazing and perfect, and also not interested in him like that at all. I can't see Minato returning Kakashi's feelings without a lot of very major divergences. He cares about Kakashi, even loves him, but...not like that. His feelings are strictly platonic.

I like this pairing hopeless, and with all the first crush, first love, melodramatic but silent pining that a traumatised child soldier can have for his mentor while still grieving for his dead father who completely failed him. Minato would never!

I also like it when Minato is dead and an older, wiser Kakashi is still pining for him regardless. Or Minato lives! But he still doesn't return Kakashi's feelings. Whatever flavour you'd like to do, I enjoy this being angsty as hell.

Freeforms:

B reminds A of their dad (I was wondering if I should nominate this but well, it's feasible and I would find it very interesting to explore, especially if Kakashi is young and isn't quite aware of how his pining for Minato differs from his pining for his dad yet. Minato could remind him of the positive characteristics of Sakumo/the good aspects of their relationship that Kakashi doesn't think about consciously after he died.)
Character pines for someone who is dead
Character runs away because it's too painful to stay near object of affections (Naturally Minato has to come get him back.)
Guilt over enjoying friendly hugs/physical closeness too much
Character B knows A is pining but pretends to be oblivious
Character's hero-worship turns to pining
Competing with another person to perform romantic gestures for object of pining (But is it really a competition if Kushina doesn't even realise she's competing and already won?)
Grief/Mourning
A keeps an item of B's clothing
A pines for B while feeling responsible for B's death
A pining because B is in a relationship with someone else
A pining because they correctly think B is uninterested
Pining because you don’t believe anyone could love you back
Pining Character Suffers from Touch Aversion
Pining for a Mentor Figure
Pining for someone who treats them like a sibling
Pining while sparring
Rescue Mission while Pining
Trapped in Fake Perfect World that includes relationship with object of pining (This would be good at any age, but particularly excellent with older Kakashi, who's old enough to recognise exactly what's going on but struggles to pull himself out of it because Minato is still dead in the real world. I don't want this to be part of the Infinite Tsukuyomi. It's too late in canon for my taste for this pairing and I find it more interesting if it was just happening to Kakashi.)
B vanishes from existence and only A remembers them. (I realise this is a conga trauma line for Kakashi but I really like it.)

Pairing: Tenzou/Hatake Kakashi (Both pining) (Tenzou pining)

eventually requited, never requited

I love their relationship. I love how close they are, how constantly Kakashi takes the piss and Tenzo hero-worships him anyway. How they trust each other. They have a very good understanding of each other, especially in battle and on missions. Does that extend to pining? Or is that a blind spot, where they manage to miss the other's feelings despite others noticing it?

Oh, I love pining for this pairing. Especially for Tenzo, who's not had much 'normal' socialisation compared to Kakashi (Tenzo is probably one of the few people that makes Kakashi look normal in this respect). He really respects Kakashi, and I can see him missing that his pining is different from the other kouhais for a while. I also like the idea of mokuton malfunctioning while he's pining because he's not dealing with his emotions properly, and that's the sort of thing that affects jutsu control, especially for something as vigorous as mokuton.

If Kakashi returns his feelings, I can see him deciding to pretend he hasn't noticed, because it's difficult and he'd rather not deal with it out of laziness, or because he feels that he's completely undeserving of any sort of love, at all, and if he acknowledges it, Tenzo will end up getting hurt and/or die like everyone else. I love angst for this, please give me angst. I'd love them to reach a happy solution, but it doesn't have to happen.

Freeforms:

A pines for B while carrying them (Either way around)
pining character finally makes a move after they almost died
Pining character is too sick/hurt to hide their pining any more
Pining Character Literally Turns Into Pine Tree (Not permanently, but the idea of Tenzo turning into a pine tree while pining is hilarious. Or maybe his mokuton malfunctions and he can only go into pine trees while he's pining. This freeform tickled me a lot in the context of mokuton.)
Pining While Sleeping on Love Interest's Bed (Are they injured? They could be injured!)
B is courting A who doesn't realize because it's different from how B flirts with other people
B realizes pining A would do anything for them; stops to make sure A is really consenting (Tenzo could be consenting fully...or perhaps it's more dubcon. Dubcon is okay for this prompt.)
Character B knows A is pining but pretends to be oblivious
Character A correctly assumes Character B knows that A is pining for them
Character's hero-worship turns to pining (Tenzo's hero-worship.)
Character A tries to show how they feel but ends up pining when B doesn't get it (I'd like this either way around, because Tenzo could also miss the very, very obvious demonstration of Kakashi's feelings.)
Pining character doused with truth serum (During an ANBU mission? Or another kind of mission? This would work really well with either of them, but especially with Kakashi with how evasive he can be.)
Rescue Mission while Pining (Rescuing him from Root? While they're in ANBU? Post-ANBU? During canon? Does Kakashi rescue him during the Fourth War, satisfying my complaint of at least a year and a half while reading that arc in real time that Yamato was STILL stuck in a tree?)
Trapped in Fake Perfect World that includes relationship with object of pining (Just not due to The Infinite Tsukuyomi. I think it'd be more interesting if it was just happening to one of them, and not the entire world.)
B vanishes from existence and only A remembers them. (This would be terrible for either of them, which is why I want it.)
Revealed Feelings While Mortally Injured/No Hope but Whoops! They Were Rescued Now It's Awkward
Thinks They're Unworthy of Love (Kakashi for this one, I don't think Tenzo has this hang-up in the same way.)
Pining while sharing a bath
Pining While their Crush Tends to Pining Character's Wounds/Injuries
A thinks B is out of their league

Fandom: No Touching at All

Note: I'm requesting fic for the manga, not the movie! You are welcome to pull in anything from the sequel "Even So, I will Love You Tenderly". Or to ignore it! Both "No Touching at All" and "Even So, I will Love you Tenderly" are single volumes and are available on Kindle.

Pairing: Onoda Ryo/Shima Toshiaki (both pining) (Onoda pining)

eventually requited, never requited

The way their relationship develops in the manga really interests me. Onoda never quite fully breaches Shima's defences, doesn't get to the same point of ease as Togawa does because he's not willing to stomp over Shima's boundaries. From the start however, he takes an interest in Shima's well-being, tries to get him adjusted to the team and looks out for him, long before he realises he has a crush on him and he's pining for him. By the end, they're definitely friends, and not because Onoda bothered him into it.

It's a contrast from the dynamic of both their canon relationships, and I'm curious about how it could have developed into more. What if Shima hadn't worked himself up to go to Kyoto to see Togawa again? What next? Perhaps Onoda might have found his pining less unrequited, over time.

I'm happy for major canon divergence here, and also for Shima/Togawa to be mentioned/play a major role, with Shima in that relationship already, pining for Togawa (or thought to be!) or having them break up and not get back together this time. Angst is very welcomed, and I don't need a happy ending.

Freeforms:

Attending Object of Pining’s Wedding to Someone Else
B is oblivious to A's pining and A wants to keep it that way
Becoming ready to move on after pining
Character A distances themself from Character B to try and get over them
Character A doesn't want to ruin Character B's relationship with another character
Character A is unsure if they really want Character B or are just lonely
Character A pines for Character B who pines for someone else
Character A pines over amnesiac Character B (I was thinking B is Shima, but the other way around could be interesting too. Especially if it happened just as their relationship started to develop.)
Character A pines while pressed up against B in a crowded situation (Particularly on a crowded train, but any other crowded public situation would be really nice. For the angst and conflicted emotions.)
The feelings are actually reciprocated but other character(s) is/are in denial of loving them (Shima is canonically awful at realising his own feelings after all.)
Drunken Confession of Feelings
Guilty About Sexual Attraction
Mixed Signals Confuses Characters On Whether Feelings Are Requited
A pines for B while comforting them
Pining A thinks about B while having sex with others
Pining A thinks about B while masturbating
Pining because they think they're just a rebound
Pining character has to have object of pining sit on their lap
Trapped in Fake Perfect World that includes relationship with object of pining
Trying to Ignore Feelings While Forced to Work in Close Quarters With Person of Their Affection

Fandom: Samurai Flamenco

Pairing: Gotou Hidenori/Hazama Masayoshi (both pining) (Gotou pining)

eventually requited

I like how these two are oblivious to their own feelings and their attraction to each other for the majority of the series. I like how they are, without doubt, the most important people to each other, and deeply care about each other even if Gotou would rather die than admit it most of the time.
I also find the final scene a little more ambiguous than some, in that they still might be edging their way into a proper relationship. So feel free to set it post-series, as I don't think they necessarily got all the way yet.

I would like either them both pining, or Gotou pining. We get a little insight into how Masayoshi pines in-series in Episode 16. I would love to see it how Gotou does it, especially if he's not sure if Masayoshi returns his feelings because he's big-hearted and dedicated to justice, and he's still torn up about what happened to his girlfriend. Also, tsunderes pining is something I really enjoy.

I really want a happy ending for these two as they went through enough in canon, so unlike my other requests, this is eventually requited only. You can put them through the wringer first, but I want them to be happy at the end.

Ideas:

Character A Is Cursed To Eternally Pine For Character B (Masayoshi accidentally bends the universe to cause this? Or maybe an enemy curses one of them with it. I'd like this with either of them, although I'd really enjoy it with Gotou because it'd piss him off so much. The curse could be real or fake.)
Accidental soulbond while pining
Character B realises A is pining but is afraid of losing them if they acknowledge it
A Pining While Adjusting B's Shirt Collar/Cuffs
Trapped in Fake Perfect World that includes relationship with object of pining (I'd like this for either of them, but oh god, especially Gotou.)
B vanishes from existence and only A remembers them (Oh, did I just imagine having a friend? Someone who cared about me? For both of them, this would really mess with their head, and also it's likely the other half is also pining whenever they are too.)
Character pines for someone who thinks nothing of undressing casually in front of them
Undercover as a Couple While Pining (It was probably not Gotou's idea, he did not want this, but now they're undercover together as a couple and oh no, it's nowhere as bad as he'd thought it'd be and he's actually enjoying it.)
Rescue Mission while Pining
Character will follow the object of their pining into danger or towards certain death
A pining for B while wanting them to be happy with someone else (Fake girlfriend...or is Gotou trying to believe Masayoshi would be happy with someone else? Even if he's a bit stuck on who, exactly.)
Pining character is too sick/hurt to hide their pining any more
Pining character has to have object of pining sit in their lap
Pining character has to sit on their crush's lap
Aliens Made Them Do It (Dub-con okay for this prompt.)
Love Confession: One Character Thought The Other Was Dead
In denial about their attraction to the character they are pining for
Revealed Feelings While Mortally Injured/No Hope but Whoops! They Were Rescued Now It's Awkward
Texting
A thinks B is out of their league (this 4koma from the manga is one I find inspiring for this freeform)
